Projects
After the end of EUROTRA (1992), Gruppo DIMA has continued its
research and development activities within the programmes of the
European Commission by participating in the following projects:
- Formal Semantics for Discourse (ET-10/61), research project
on a discourse model based on logical and computational semantics.
Other members of the consortium: University
of Groningen, Leuven and Salford.
- TRAnslation DEmonstrator ( MLAP 93-03),
TRADE is
a machine translation project for English, Italian and
Spanish in the field of social security. Other members of the consortium:
INPS (Roma), CCS and FBG (Barcelona),
UMIST (University of Manchester).
- Linguistic Specifications for Future Industrial Standards
(MLAP 93-15),
REFMAN is a project for definition of multilingual standards of formal representation
using HPSG. Other members of the consortium: IAI
Saarbruecken and University of
Essex, Leuven, P.Fabra (Barcelona) and UMIST (Manchester).
- COnstraint-based Linguistic Specifications for ITalian (MLAP 93-08b),
COLSIT is a project for the
definition of resources formally describing the Italian language by using
HPSG. Other members of the consortium: Institute for Computational
Linguistics of CNR (Pisa).
- Large-Scale GRAMmars (LRE 61029),
LS-GRAM is a project for the implementation of large scale grammars
using HPSG and the ALEP system, extended to Italian. Other members of the consortium: CST (Copenhagen),
FBG (Barcelona), IAI (Saarbruecken), ILSP (Atene), ILTEC
(Lisbona), TALANA (Paris), and University of Essex,
Leuven, Stuttgart e Utrecht, and -- for Italian -- Institute for Computational
Linguistics of CNR (Pisa).
