The historical group "corporal Giuseppe Robino"was founded in 1996 thanks to some of the members of the Firemen's Historical Association. This group wants to present the rich culture of the Firemen in Turin, from the 1920s when they were one of the most important corps in Italy. Because of the quick industrialisation of Turin, the Firemen had to modernize their equipment and their methods. Step by step the corps became the centre of new techniques and for the design of new motor vehicles. Their contribution was very important in 1937, when the National Corps of Firemen was introduced.
