THE FIREMEN-MUSEUM AND OF THE SCHOOL FOR SAFETY


In the autumn 2001 the MUVISS (the Firemen-Museum and the Security School) will be built in Turin, where once there was the old Borgo Dora Military Arsenal. It will be in a very well made building, built in the second half of the XIX century, in one of the old solidly constructed industrial areas of the city, along the river Dora Riparia.
The MUVISS will be a large area, unique of its kind, which will contain not only the significance of the Firemen's history, but it will also include the Security School, addressed to students, factories and citizens. This school is very useful in order to show the important notions of prevention and security. There will be also areas, provided with modern audio-video means of communication, for conferences and debates.
The plan we show is no longer an idea, but it is already a reality that has been created with the active participation of the European Community, the Region of Piedmont, the Province of Turin, the Town of Turin, and many people who have contributed to the realization of MUVISS.
We are grateful to everyone because they have helped us to transform a dream into a pleasant reality.
