Characteristics of the Building

 
The building is located in a very convenient area, and has a very well designed internal structure.
 In fact it is near the centre of the city and near other important cultural buildings.

The building has the typical functional characteristics of the industrial factories built in the second half of the XIX century.

It consists of a central area, the oldest, and of connecting arches.

The building is on 2 floors: a basement and a second floor covered with a roof. The area of every floor is of 1328 square meters. The area on the opposite side of the entrance expands by about 349 square meters, and laterally, on the basement, by 347 square meters.

The metal covering of the building will be partly transparent and partly opaque, according to the different needs. The same metal structure will cover the east and the west penthouse/lean-to roof.

The total area, with its consecutive enlargements, will be of 6500 square meters. The benefits of such an independent structure are: The metal covering will be prefabricated, and it will be assembled very quickly/in a short time with moderate costs. It will be used as a shelter during restoration of the stone part of the building, without problems concerning the weather. The structure will be partly closed and partly open. Because of this it can be easily enlarged.
