The Right to know, the Duty to take part

Prometheus mith

Prometheus was originally worshippeed by Greeks as a fire god. Later a poet, probabily Aesiodous worked on his character making it mithic. Following Aesiodous Prometheus was a Titan, son of Giapeto and Climenes. Friend of the human gender wich wanted to help in every way, during sacrifices, Prometheus delivered to men the better victims' parts and to gods the worst. This fact caused Zeus' wrath, who deprived men of fire for revenge.
Again Prometheus aligned himself with men: he stole from gods the fire hiding a spark in cane. to punish men, Zeus sended them the woman, who Aesiodus considered the origin of all evils. Prometheus was doomed to terrible destiny: he was convicted to a pole and an eagle endlessly devoured his liver. The beutiful woman doomed to bring grief to all mortals was named Pandora and she became bride of Epimetheus, brother of Prometheus. Epimetheus was as reckless as the brother was wise and prudent, he didn't listen Prometheus' advice and welcomed Pandora with all consequent grief.
