CELEBRATION OF FIDAPA's twentieth anniversary
TURIN CHAPTER


[IMAGE OF CELEBRATION] In June 1996, the Turin Chapter of FIDAPA celebrated the twentieth anniversary of its foundation with a three-day series of events lasting from June 14 through June 16.
The highlight of these festive proceedings was a Ceremony held at the magnificent 18th Century Royal Hunting Lodge of Stupinigi, an architectural masterpiece by Filippo Juvarra.
This Ceremony was attended by over 200 members and guests, including Mrs. Marika Caruselli, FIDAPA National President, representatives from Bari's FIDAPA Chapter and Lausanne's, Switzerland, FBPW's chapter, both twinned with Turin FIDAPA.
The Ceremony, hosted by Mrs. Bianca Vetrino, Turin Chapter President, had a twofold objective. First, the Award of the Honorary membership card, an ad hoc silver engraved badge, to three founding members and founder Presidents of the Turin Chapter, namely, Francesca Pennacchietti, Laura Marasso, Mara Mosca.
Second, the Award of a special FIDAPA-Torino prize to three leading professional women who had achieved a widespread recognition for their dedicated commitment to women's advancement, namely Mrs. Cristina Vernizzi, Curator of Turin "Museo del Risorgimento", Mrs. Maria Luisa Pacciani, pianist and composer, and Dr. Rosa Urciuoli, professor of anaesthetis and intensive care at Turin University.
