| Teatro dell'Angolo
is one of the most important theatres for children and young people in
Italy. It is one of fifteen National Centres of Theatrical Production,
Promotion and Research for Children and Youth.
Teatro dell'Angolo was formed approximately 25 years ago and many of the original founders are still with the Company. Its productions are well-known in Torino and in Italy. Several productions including “Terra Promessa”, “Robinson & Crusoe” and “Pigiami” have toured throughout Europe and to places as far afield as Australia, Canada, USA, Mexico, Russia and Israel. Each year there are about 250 performances of Teatro dell'Angolo's own productions and, in addition 20 other theatre compagnies are invited to perform in the theatre premises. As a National Centre for Youth, Teatro dell'Angolo organises activities throughout the Piemonte Region including performances, seminars, workshops and involving a wide variety of schools and institutions. |
